Anyone got this pack yet? I wonder:
1. how accurate is the 2 lb. 7 oz. weight?
2. how the "compactor system" works and how well it works?
3. how heavy is the pack without the framesheet and stay
Maybe this pack will be good for both multi-day hikes as well as short dayhikes (with framesheet/stay removed and using the compactor system)…
I think that Andrew Skurka mentioned (in another thread)the Jam2 has the compactor system. Maybe the other very recent thread about the Jam2 and it's pictures might be showing the system? Looks to me like it just squishes the bottom with the hooks, thus just reducing volume.
