How many of you are using one? I just ordered the LD01R2.

This is a big deal because I've been a BD faithful for years. It took a lot for me to replace my 3 year old BD Ion.

I have the back breaking LD01R5 Stainless Steel. 48 grams including battery.

Another LD01R5 user here. It is elegant to both hold and use, and emits a very natural light beam. I love it, and it is perpetually in my left pocket and ready to go (with an Energizer Lithium AAA on-board).

I don't use the Fenix, but I make use of two nearly identical lights with great success: the Maratac AAA flashlight, and the iTP H01 headlamp. I find them both to be stupidsimpleeasygreat, which is somewhat like CrazySexyCool {via TLC…} except for with really good lights. They are waterproof up to an extended submersion, run forever when used on low or medium, and light up a trail enough to run by when used on high. I found it useful to wrap a small piece of GITD tape in case the light is dropped at night…or just tether it…

I really like my Maratac. I like it enough to carry it every day. It's surprising to me that now that I edc a flashlight how much I actually use it in my day to day life. I could be looking under a bed, behind a dresser, or looking for a port to plug something in the back of my computer. To make it hands free I bought a strip of elastic (appears to be about 7/8" wide) from JoAnn's and made a head band for it. Best $1.80 I've sent on gear.

I also put a mini key ring on it to be able to hang it or attach it to my mini-carabiner on my key-chain. I only wish I could find one of those white opaque deals to put over it to make it more like a lantern that they offer for their AA flashlights…but I'll probably just end up getting a couple of their AA flashlights anyway.

I have been a devoted Arc AAA fan for years.

Though the weight and higher output of the FLD01 has been tempting me.

I've been using an L0D for going on 4 years now, unless I expect to be night hiking. I think the LD01 is the newer version.
