Anyone found a lid to replace the stock lid? Specifically, a plastic lid that will snap in place?
Thanks!
Perhaps this should be in MYOG…I dunno.

It doesn't snap on, but the Ruta Locura carbon fiber lid for this pot is 7 grams.

Great pic Franco! Thanks. That's the same lid Dan referenced, correct?
yes, it is..
I use that instead of the original not because it's lighter but because it stays on and it is cool to the touch .

Foil. I'm surprised nobody has said foil.
Franco: You bought a carbon fiber lid?!?!?! =)
Does anyone know if there are larger carbon fibre lids available ? I am looking for one to fit my JetBoil Sumo, which has a diameter of 4.9 inches.

I talked to Ruta Locura about making a bit larger ones because I wanted one for my 0.9L Evernew pot (4.3" diameter) but they said they have no plans for larger lids. I ended up switching to a narrower pot.
I made a lid for my 1 L. pot from the heavy duty "foil" of a disposable aluminum pie pan. I used automotive foil muffler tape to attatch a ring handle in the center. The handle can lay flat when packed.
The lid stays on B/C I pressed the 1/4" overhang down around the pot top edge and then turned 1/2 of the raw edge up into itself.
Eric,
Pictures please!
I don't know if the diameter of the BPL550 is the same as for the 550-SUL but I have cut the bottom of an Ass Kickin' Snack Mix can and used it on the 550-SUL. The diameter is perfect but the weight savings is only 8 grams (0.28 oz).

Any new pictures you guys want to share of your carbon lids?
This is Ruta Locura lid with their 550ml mug. I added a reflexit insert and a handle using silicon tube and a bit of cord.
Here is the MYOG carbon fiber lid.

The handle is silicone string, wired on and epoxied on.
