I am looking for an ultralight lumbar pack that will hold my Canon SX30is camera, small fishing tackle box (5 x 2.5 x 1"), phone, and snack in the main compartment and a water bottle on each side of the main compartment. I want it to be as light as possible because I will carry it in my main pack on multi-day trips to use as a day pack when fishing or hiking from camp.

One contender is the Black Diamond Fuse at 8 oz. http://www.blackdiamondequipment.com/en-us/shop/mountain/packs/fuse-lumbar-pack The two side pockets could hold a phone and food with the camera and tackle in the main compartment. However it is pricey for what it is and I can not find any reviews.

If you have any other suggestions please let me know.

I recently purchased a Talon 4 for trail running, it’s not uber light @ 10.8 ounces, but it’s laid out pretty nice- roomy zipped side pockets, two angled bottle holders, pretty roomy main pouch and an additional zipped accessory pouch

it carries very nicely (like most Osprey products) as well

if you want really light, there are some folks (Chris Zimmer being one) that will custom build you a pack to your specifications in cuben (or other lighter materials), will cost more obviously

I went to Chris Zimmer's website and he has a Tenkara Lumbar Pack coming soon. I will be keeping an eye on his page. Base weight is listed at 5.75 oz.
