I think one of the things you could do is use Google to list all the sites that have the item you're looking for:

…or you can frequently visit: Altrec.com, campsaver, camphor, backcountry.com, rei.com and also check coupons or available discounts since they tend to run them often enough.

Go ahead and buy a membership. Costs you $25 and if you save $20 on pots, the membership is nearly free.

I just saved ~$65 on buying used snow pants compared with buying them new. With just one deal I've nearly paid for my lifetime membership. The ROI is easy.
