Simply drill out a plastic wine cork.
Pop it in the mats valve.
Fill your pack liner with air.
Seal the liner around the cork with your hand and squeeze it with your body.
3 pumps with a MLD packliner(40g).

Does the cork prop open the valve? Or does the air pressure do that?
The air pressure opens the valve and it fits in so tightly it doesn't pop out untill the mat is full.
Thanks…neat idea. I've been wondering if the Thermarest Air Tap would work, but I never felt like spending the money to find out.

Dan, a couple of cable ties round the cork should work like an Air Tap but I wouldn’t want to compromise the pack liner.
Have you seen the Exped schnozzel?
The Exped Schnozzle works great but I'm gonna try this just because.
