When is a pot lid not a pot lid? – When it is a FireLite 500 Titanium Cookpot Lid.

All is not lost. I am about to do a "chop and channel" job on the small JetBoil Pot and in looking at the pot opening I had a thought.

Surprise – surprise! The FireLite lid is a perfect fit for the smaller JetBoil Pot. This may be the salvation for BMW and how to get rid of the original FireLite 500 Titanium Cookpot lids. Sell the non-lid lid as a SUL lid replacement for the heavy standard Jet Boil Pot lid.

And yes, Ryan, I will take an appropriate gratuity for this one.

Yowza!

That makes me wonder whether it fits the Snow Peak Trek 700… What a great Frankenpot that would be: Firelite lid, Jetboil cozy and coffee press, on a SnowPeak pot which was heated on a Caldera Cone boiling a pint of water for 10g of fuel in a 2.4 oz stove system.

Beat that, Jetboil!

Brian,

I have a SP-700 and the Firelite lid is a bit to small for it. When I got lucky with the small size JetBoil pot I tried the lid on everything I have. I don't have a SP- 600 and may take my lid to the store and see if it will fit anything else.
Your "Frankenpot" sounds like a winner.

I don't own a JetBoil stove but did buy their 2 different pots. I have plans for them on one of my stoves.

It will be interesting to see if there any new stoves introduced at this Outdoor Show.

My Backpacker's Pantry (ne Traveling Light) 1.5 L. pot lid, with the thermometer handle, just fits my 1.5 L. JetBoil pot.
So if I know I'm going to use my BP Pantry fiberglass oven hood for baking on the trail I just take the BP Pantry lid instead of the plastic JetBoil lid. That way I have the aneroid thermometer handle for baking.
"Mix 'n Match"!

BTW, I bought the JetBoil 1.5 L. pot but not the stove. My MSR Wind Pro & windscreen do just fine, thank you. But the J-B large pot with its neoprene cozy and "Flux Ring" around the bottom are much more efficient than my old BP Pantry pot.
