Thoughts?
I currently use Sierra designs hurricane pants at about 7 oz for rain/wind protection. Seems like there should be a lighter option.

The discontinued GoLite Reeds are among BPL lore for this. 4oz.

Someone (Montbell?) is releasing a ~4oz WPB pant for Spring 2012. That typically means Feb 1 or March 1, though stock doesn't always get into the hands of retailers at that time.

I sewed the Thru-Hiker Liberty Ridge Pants kit using a fabric that is fairly waterproof and fairly breathable. The finished weight was 2.45 oz.
