I've been using this stuff sack for a while and have been very pleased with it. The fabric side is quite comfortable, and it is quite strong. My large size weighs 2.4 ounces. This stuff sack is much quieter to sleep on, especially if you are a side sleeper, than the sil-nylon sack I used to use. I also appreciate the fact that the pillow does not tend to slip around on the tent floor or pad during the night.

Tried a stuff sack and it was never right for me. I had other stuff sacks I could use for pillow. I always found them lumpy and, less than ideal. I'd try the caccoon or exped air core. Hardly heavier and so much more enjoyable. The pillow sack from thermarest is like sleeping on a neoair with a stethascope (sp?) Loudest option I've tried so far. Rolling over woke me up.

I used it and loved it. Until I got a custom cuben fiber version made by ZPacks which I love even more. :)

I've been using one for a while now and love it. I use the small and stuff it with a fleece or down sweater. I use it to store extra layers when on the trail. Also keeps your fleece of puffy warm-to-wear in the morning.

go to home depot, get a package with 2 paint strainer bags in it. This is mesh , 5 gal bags with elastic top. $2.99

Each mesh bag weighs 0.5 oz, and is plenty strong to use as stuffsaks, and works well as a pillow with jacket and clothes in it. not real soft, but not slippery like silnylon and not clammy like cuben.

twist the excess and put a .04 oz rubber band on to keep snug.

This is all I use for stuffsaks. 1 keeps my clothing items, that may be used as a pillow. Goes inside pack liner so no need to be waterproof or any such thing.

The other, is to keep all my stuff together (thats not hung) when its out of pack and pack is under legs. The little ziplocks with aquamira, bugdope, hand sanitizer, compass, soap, camera, wet wipes, empty water bottles, cook kit, etc all go in this other one at bed time so things arent scattered all over the place. Id use my headnet for that, but might need it sometime.
