I have enough cuben for my poncho body but not enough for the hood. I do have enough sil-nylon for a hood though. My concern is getting the cuben/sil-nylon seam sealed.
Anyone know for certain if silicone or SilNet will stick to cuben?

From Zpacks:
"Sil Net also works great for sealing Cuben Fiber gear, and is perfect for cuben tents, tarps, backpacks, and stuff sacks."

Not as a glue for patches etc. May work to plug needle holes.
Thanks, guys!
Seems like it might be best to hold off on finishing and try to get a little more cuben. Surely someone will sell you half a yard for pretty cheap.
Thanks, Dan. Always open to suggestions. I thought I'd like a cuben hood as well. However, being that I already have suitable sil-nylon on hand, I can't see how spending extra on cuben would offset the scant advantages it might have in this particular case. That said, I'm sure open and appreciative of other perspectives. Am I missing something here?
