Hi, pretty new to the MYOG scene.
Problem is I'm based in the UK, and can't seem to find Apex here. I'm looking at making my own basic quilt.
profabrics seems to be a good place to pick up materials, but they don't seem to offer much in the way of insulation.
Can anybody help me find something usable in the UK?
Cheers

They don't appear to do it, can anybody advise me as to alternatives?

Hi
When I made a quilt, I bought climashield xp from the US (a few years ago – before Apex)
– it only took 10 days to arrive

But, if you go for Extremetextiles, I believe that Primaloft sport is more suitable for DIY – needs less quilting than PL1.

FYI I used 5oz XP and in the UK, wouldn't expect to use it below 4 degrees – even in a tent. It's just not warm enough for me for other than 2 season use. That would be with clothing worn aswell.

It's not really a question of time for delivery…the postage from US to UK is what bothers me. Then of course I'd pay tax on entry to the UK, this would end up costing more than twice what it would cost if I lived in the US.

Hi Tim

Have you had any luck finding 3D mesh for straps? You may not have tried of course.

In the UK all I found so far is this, which is £8.40 delivered for a piece 70cm by 57cm.

extremtextil.de have it as well, and it starts at €7.90 for a piece 50cm by 50cm. That’s excluding delivery though.

Any other ideas? They both seem steep but I’ve never tried buying it before so maybe it’s normal.
