Hey guys, I was going through one REI's recent scratch and dent sales and found a Gregory Z40 for next to nothing. It's already decently light at 3.4 lbs, but I'd like to make some modifications to push it into ultra light territory. Has anyone done this with this pack or have any pack-specific advice – maybe internal frame removal?
Thanks all!

The frameless pack is pretty comfortable still and it was my PCT pack in 2009 and now is used mostly for short winter camping trips and for flying carry-on, as it cinches down pretty well.
