We had a hot last day here in Melbourne so my mate Yair and myself went up to the Alps.
Nice and cool up there and not too many people about.
Here is the last sunset of 2011 and the 2012 sunrise.
I made the first ascent of the year to Mt Sterling via the Diretissima, a super difficult route not to be attempted by mothers with prams.
(the top of the hill is about 50 m from where my mate if flying his kite)
Happy New Year
Folk in Melbourne where treated to a 2.5 Million Dollars fire work display, 10 min, we had this,(all night) :dawn
