The trestles 30 was my main bag before going UL, in fact I upgraded a lot of gear before the sleeping bag to lighten up. It's exactly what you pay for. Cheap, pretty heavy, and moderately warm. I would never be comfortable in it at 30 without some good supplemental clothing and ground insulation. The shoulders were cut a little wide for me as well. That said, it's been on a lot of trips with me.

For the price it's a decent bag, if it means getting out and doing trips, go for it. Definitely. If you're trying to upgrade, I would hold out and make a worthy investment. I first upgraded to a Montbell UL spiral #3 and wasn't crazy about either the warmth or the fit, so I sold it, saved up a little more and dropped the dough on a Katabatic Palisade. I cannot speak highly enough of the quality of construction and design on this thing, and it will be my go to bag for many years to come.

No comment on the TNF bag, but it's a similar bag. If you're on a really tight budget, many speak highly of the Kelty Cosmic down bags, if they're still around. Lighter than the above bags, and probably warmer.
