Nice looking bivy…any chance you're going to make some SevenD-s available for the MYOG community? ;)

Where can we get more information on this 7d-s?

At such a magnificently light weight, how does it compare to sil nylon and cuben?

7D – http://www.titaniumgoat.com/index.html

7D is very light, water/wind resistant, breathable

silnylon is heavier and therefore stronger, totally water/wind proof (actually, most silnylon isn't totally waterproof), not breathable

cuben is stronger for the same weight, totally water/wind proof, not breathable

7D-s, as I understand it, is a different material from 7D. It is a waterproof 7 denier fabric I believe.

Sorry for the confusion.

SevenD, Is a 7 denier by 10 denier, ripstop fabric. It is .65oz/yd2, and has a rectangular ripstop grid. It is highly water resistant with a low air permeabilty, comparable to 20D fabrics such as Intrepid, Pertex, etc. The newer, 2012 SevenD, is more water resistent than the first 2011 fabric. Color is Black

SevenD-s, Is a 7 denier by 7 denier, ripstop fabric. It is .65oz/yd2, and has a square micro ripstop grid. It is siliconized and water proof, and comparable to other sil-nylons in this respect. Color is grey.

SevenD-s will be available to the MYOG in the future, from TiGoat. Currently it is only available in finished products from Ruta Locura.

Ohhh

I wonder how strong it is compared to Cuben, must not be as strong because Cuben has Spectra, but maybe that's not important for some things.

Hi Josh, is the weight per crampon, or for a pair? Thanks.
