These are from my october trip to Great Smoky Mountains National Park
Jan 16, 2007 at 1:54 pm #1374575I love your pictures! I am from the Smoky Mountain area and do all of my backpacking there. Newfound Gap is an awesome place, but many tourists that visit and stop there don't realize all of the beautiful areas that you can hike to from there. This is a photo I took at sunset from Mt. LeConte in late autumn.

Jan 17, 2007 at 3:10 am #1374649I was just wondering how the Fall Colors were down in the Smokies this past Autumn. We had spotty colors here in Eastern PA. Some places had brilliant color while other places just didn't have the vibrant colors. I guess we were seeing a lot of localized effects here.
