Comet McNaught!

I puzzled over this in the evening sky the other night, without knowing what I was looking at (wrong place and time for Venus, too bright for Mercury, too still for an airplane…)

I managed to get to a viewing spot last evening to see its final show for the Northern Hemisphere. My pics aren't very good, but there are some terrific ones posted to various Websites.
