wouldn't a fully enclosed tarp be called a . . . . . . . . tent ?

If fully enclosed tarp has a floor, it's a tent.

If it doesn't have a floor I think it's ambiguous – some people might call that a tent, others not.

Usually I call it tent because it's a more understandable name for most of the people, but here in BPL I've called it tarp because I usually use it in a tarp style setting, as in the photo above.

When the weather is very bad and the natural protection is not good, I use it in a fully enclosed setting, except on the floor.
