if you need a lot of down, like i will shortly, and don't mind the extra weight, this beats thru-hiker by quite a bit. I am planning a 5deg down quilt, a 45deg quilt and maybe some down booties and a down hat. If i buy two pounds of down, it ends up at $5 an oz, thru-hiker's is $10. Admittedly, if you buy their quilt kit, its not as expensive, but for a 5deg quilt, i could go with thru-hiker and save 2oz, or with this site, and save $40, which makes sense to me (college student).

Zohar

So…. how do you like that "affordable" light weight fabric, you sourced?

I just put in an order for 6 ozs. At $5.50/ounce I figure it's worth trying some out on my next project. Thanks~

Maybe it's time to put down a 120 pound order. Then it only come to $2.65 an ounce, (cheapest I've found 800 fill).
