Hey Gang
I'm debating an overnight trip on the way to visit some friends in Bozeman, MT. I'm approaching from the south.
I know there are some folks around here that are either very familiar or residents of the area. Am I crazy to want to spend a night out this time of year? Freezing rain? Snowy?
Any recommendations on late shoulder season destinations?
Nov 10, 2011 at 2:25 pm #1800544Tyler, it can be pretty cold around here this time of year. The sort of near freezing, rain/snow mix (depending on altitude) we have forecasted for this weekend is the worst of it.
The good thing, there's just about no one out on the trails right now. Depending on how you plan to approach, an overnighter in the Tetons or Yellowstone could be quite fun. Of course, you might need snowshoes.
