Kind of old news, but there was quite a bit of buzz here last hear when Chris Solinsky became the first American to run a 10K under 27 minutes with a time of 26:59.60 beating the old record by 14 seconds.
On Sept 16th, Rupp shattered Solinky's record with a 26:48.00, the 16th fastest time ever run in the 10K.
Solinky's run was the 64th fastest in history. But both are a long ways from Bekele's world record of 26:17.53.
