Just noticed on REI and Black Diamond's website, the Doublelight series of tents, specifically the Mesa and Vista so far. There isn't much information as of yet on the BD site, but REI has the normal info.
Anyone know anything extra about these tents? BD design, quality and forethoughts are things of beauty, so I'm very interested in everyones thoughts.

Seems like a very heavy tent. The REI quarterdome gets down to 3lbs 11oz and seems like a better deal.
$289 for the BD Mesa 2. Hmmm…
I would sooner get the $169 REI Half Dome HC… fairly comparable in size, with tons of rave reviews for what is also a very good quality tent.
Speaking of your blizzard wasteland, my brother is out there skiing this week. Their supposed to be getting back on Sunday but we'll see what becomes of that plan.
