REI is fudging the "retail" on the "ultralight"
that is not the ultralight model.. but it IS the single parachute nylon model.. and retail is ONLY $49.99 NOT the $59.99 that REI is claiming..

http://store.grandtrunkgoods.com/hammocks

the "ultralight travel hammock" is not picture and REI has misquoted the name here, because that model is $20 (and less, depending)

still, despite the (willful?) typo it is still a decent price. just make sure to get a better suspension. the biners given with these hammocks weigh more than you'll want so I suggest a new suspension. whoopie slings are a great option.

be welcome, bro. im not exposing REI as crooks or price gougers, I'm just showing what expected retail vs. REI website claims have a disagreement on.

my personal opinion? get a Warbonnet Traveler and feel good about it. that's all!

if you've gotten this far in your search for a better sleep, i will humbly congratulate you for climbing out of the (tent) box.
