Meant to post these a while ago. These are some pictures from a week-long Introductory Climbing course in the Swiss Alps in early July. We had beautiful weather and a great time learning about mountaineering in the Alps. I wish the pictures could do these mountains justice!
On the way to the Ferpicle Glacier above Evolene

Leaving the Ferpicle Glacier
Looking back to the Pigna D' Arola as sunset nears

Relaxing at the Bertol hut with the Matterhorn and Tete Blanche in the background

View from the Tete Blanch summit looking towards Zermatt and the Saas Fee range (Matterhorn hidden in clouds on the right)

Climbing through the icefall en route to Weisshorn summit

View of the Lagginhorn summit from the Weisshorn summit ridge

On top of the Lagginhorn summit (yes that is a Gossamer Gear LT4 trekking pole on my pack…did't another one of those that week)

Looking at the many 4,000m peaks of the Saas Fee range from the Lagginhorn summits
