“I recently had a Kodiak brown bear finish my morning coffee for me. RIP (rest in pieces) my GSI Infinity… :^(“

Would love to hear a fully story on that one…

This lasted me 2,260 miles…coffee or tea morning and night. It’s a cup made from an instant creamer container. #2 plastic less than an ounce.

I had changed my drinking cup to a GSI Bugaboo aluminum cup, mostly because it had measurements.  However, I noticed this summer that I was often drinking tepid to cold tea–not cool, er, hot, er, I mean, not good.  I had previously used a QMH Angry Troll pot as my cup, nested inside a Toaks 650 mug pot.  The Angry Troll has a lid, is made from a Foster’s can, and might be double-walled?  So, today, I made a cup of CUSA tea in the Angry Troll with the lid on, and in the GSI Bugaboo, side by side.  I measured temperatures every 5 minutes with an instant kitchen thermometer.  It was evident that the QMH pot held the heat better, and now that Toaks has liquid measurements in their pots, I don’t worry about measuring water any more (been eyeballing it and haven’t been too sorry). So, back to the QMH pot for a cup.  It’s a little wide in my hand to hold comfortably, and doesn’t have handles, but the thermal performance makes it worth it.  If you really want to geek out, I have the temps written down.

Craig’s cups would perform way better!
