Aluminum containers?

If you find anything packed in an aluminum container let me know! I keep looking but it's always steel.

Dale, These are 3 for $13. Water-resistant boxes are expensive and heavier. IMO it is better to put the contents in a double ziplock, then wrap the box in duct tape. The ziplock doubles as a water storage-carry bag and the duct tape is useful also.

Regarding these 3/13 boxes, you can match the choice of box size to the needs of the individual. Someone who might leave the big kit at home might actually carry the small kit; whereas some more eager recipient of your kit might be motivated to carry the large size.

My experience with Aloksaks (as you might use) is that the single thin 'zip' is only waterproof when the zip is not bent or disturbed; Probably would work in these hard cases. For a soft application when the zip is bending and flexing I've had Aloksaks fail three times after being properly sealed. I dont use them anymore; freezer Ziplocks with their dual redundant heavier zips are superior IMO.

Brett, the containers at MPJA are close to perfect. I would drop an Aloksak inside to make things waterproof. Thanks!

Jim, those are the containers sold by Freund container, minus all the charges they hit you with for breaking a case quantity, etc. Good size.
