Full Zip Wind Pants

If you don't need full zip, but can get by with zips for your shoes or boots, the Golite Reed pant may be an option. Theri new product line (coming out late January?) will include the Reed pant with zippers. It is currently 5oz and I don't know how much the new pants might weigh. When I've called Golite about new products they have been very helpful. You might give them a call (1-888-golite) and see if they can give you more info. Good luck

Another option I just though about is to use basketball type warm-ups. These have buttons down the side for easy removal. I think some of them are just nylon, so they would be light. I'm afraid uncoated nylon might just soak up the water though. Anyone have experience with these type of pants or with uncoated nylon as a shell? I'm mainly interested in this for skiing, so full zip/full buttons would be really nice (otherwise I would have to take off my skis to get them on and off). If the wind pants had vents in the middle that might be adequate (I sometimes open my fleece pants in the middle rather than taking them off). However, I imagine if they do that the manufacturer will just go ahead and make them full zip.
