I'm looking for a lighter headlamp with both red (what I use most) & white LEDs. My current one has "failed" on me twice now with the switch somehow getting slid to an ON position either while packing my ditty bag away in the front pocket or after it's already there.
Petzl e+lite. Less than an ounce, has red and white light. It provides more than enough light for anything I've ever needed. Unless you are actually hiking in the dark, you likely don't need anything more than this little gem.
