Code 51666 has expired. Anyone know what the current code is — if there is one? Thanks in advance.

No thanks to you guys, but I found out that the replacement STP code is 51780 for purchases $75 and over — good till 12/31/06.

I am a new person here, but the idea that it is either the forums fault or any individual purchaser's fault that another cannot find a "good deal" is a joke.

I could be wrong, but I read that as sarcasm, which is always difficult in this medium.

Relax, it's just my lame attempts at humor. The real purpose is to share the new STP code with folks on the forum.

But just to gloat (a little), using the 20% off code and Google check out (another $20 off) — I got a Mountainsmith Ghost backpack for $52.

Nah, no one generous enough to offer his Shasta home for fellow hikers to visit will ever get himself in trouble. :)

Isn't that your SECOND Ghost? ;-)

Oh wait, like I can talk….I own a Ghost and a Seraph. So I guess I have two.

Howdy Sarah:

Yeah, it's my second one. I have been wanting to buy a spare, given how much I like the Ghost, and that it's been discontinued. The price was too good to pass up.

Curious… how different in feel/comfort is it between your Ghost and Seraph?

Love the Seraph! I find it more comfortable than the Ghost, since the suspension is my size. The Ghost was always about an inch too long for my torso. It sits perfectly on my hips. The straps are also cut more for females, and so is the hipbelt. I wish I had bought it earlier! I got it for a song though at STP, so I am not complaining.
It does hold a bit less, but that doesn't affect me :-) I am figuring it will be my pack for next summer's PCT trip!
I have actually considered getting Ford one, as he'd fit it soon.

Well, Sarah, here's your chance to buy the Ghost for Ford. Throw in a tee shirt or a pair of socks or something for yourself (to get the total cost past $75) — and then enjoy both the 20% off as well as the $20 off.

As they say, the more you buy, the more you save. I'm always amazed that America has the lowest savings rate in the world. With our buying, you'd think we have the highest! :)
