i own and use the micro bivi … bought it for 135$ from mec … unfortunately i havent been able to use it much so far … no duct tape yet ;)

what i will say is the event is quite breathable and waterproof … unfortunately there is a bog honking hole in it … and unless you are partially under cover or turn yourself over … some water will get in in heavy rain

this may be an isue with down bags

on the positive side it is quite huge and easily fits a full length neo air

E bivy isn't waterproof.

if you want more useful recommendations, some stuff to include is; where you using it, what season, how long of a sleeping bag, is weight really a top priority(because breathable/water resistant bivy+light weight tarp is lighter than almost all your options) how much bivy experience do you have? in my personal experience bivys in the rain suck without a tarp, you get wet any way, and if its on the cooler size you get wet from condensation anyway in a waterproof bivy.

is this for climbing or backpacking?

You also have :

Rab – Survival Zone – less than 300g on my scale
Terra Nova – Moonlight Bag Cover – 210g
MontBell – Breeze Dry-Tec UL – 246 g

All 3 are 100% waterproof & breathable.

A number of those listed are not WPB but just with a DWR. I would stay away from all but the eVent topped bivys (or the Rab exchangelite). The Micro is probably the best of your list.

It would help to know more of the actual conditions you plan to use it in.

Was the Integral Designs all – Event bivy. 100 % eVent, top to bottom. Unfortunately they are no longer being made.

"is weight really a top priority(because breathable/water resistant bivy+light weight tarp is lighter than almost all your options)"

+1

If weight is your top priority, a UL bivy with DWR top and a cuben tarp will be lighter than most of your list. Plus getting in and out of a bivy without a tarp in a hard rain is not ideal.

I like the MLD eVent bivies. I have an alpine bivy but would love the newer soul bivy with bug netting and Cuben floor. these are like 12oz or so.

I have a Rab Superlight Event Bivu, weighs 465g and is plenty big for a Neoair and a WM Ultralite but would not like to be in it if its started checking down with rain.
