Is anyone else tired of seeing advertisements for sheepskin boots in forums like Make Your Own Gear, Gear Lists, Gear Swap and Gear?

I can accept an advertisement in Gear Deals, and I can almost overlook the post in General Lightweight Backpacking Discussion.

If you care to check inside of 30 minutes there were 6 posts made all of them hawking a particular brand of boots and website.

"I feel ya." The whole Ugg spam as of late has become a bit much.

Another reason to do something about this forum software?

It's too bad the tech savvy folks here can't help us with this Uggly problem.

I'm sure they're plenty of us here that could, but we didn't write and don't have access to the forum software either.

People have been recommending for years that BPL upgrade it's forum software. These kinds of problems (and others) have been solved for years in the forum software community.

Frankly, it's ridiculous.
