I will always remember the excitment generated amongst us thru hikers on the PCT in 2009 when (You) KrudMeister and Scott came roaring past us!
By the way.. is there any chance of getting an inside look at what you and Bink use for gear?
In 2009 i missed you guys around the Roller pass area but your passing was described to me by Bonanza Jelly Bean.
She said: "I thought they were adventure racers at first. They had tiny little packs that were the size of a "Hello Kitty" kids bookbag."
I know you and Scott make some (all?) of your gear.
This being Back Packing Light.. Do Tell, Mr. KrudMeister!

I have to add something for people that might not know.
Krudmeister and Bink hiked from Mexico to Canada on the Pacific Crest Trail unsupported and without even getting in a vehicle to resupply.
They covered 2,665 miles in under 66 days.
The rest of the thru hikers that year took from 4 to 5 1/2 months to cover the same distance.
These cats walked like 45 miles a day.. every day.
Friggin amazing!

Scott Williamson's 2006 PCT yoyo gearlist

ouch that was incredibly painful to find and convert.
this is gonna be tough but i am like a pitbull.. i will get this post sorted out!
Okay Krud your list is next… I'm working on it now.
.Krudmeister #1 AZT gearlist
.
OMG.. I need a cigarette and i don't even smoke!
Is the difficulty of finding, converting , and posting your gearlist related to weight savings!

Nothing but admiration for those of you who rack up the miles day in and day out. In 2009, I was passed by your two in the Sierra and I recall upon hearing that the record had been broken that I was well over 1,000 miles left in my journey. It seemed incomprehensible then how fast you went. In retrospect, seems 45 miles a day is possible – for exactly *ONE* day.

Well, hell, I at least can know you two will never *TOUCH* my personal slow record. But again, kudos to everyone who understakes such endeavors.

Amazing!! Did it solo, only 12 resupplies and hiked to every supply point.

It's really amazing what he's done. Some of the hot days and the fallen trail angel really slowed him down, but it wasn't enough to keep Scott down.

The crazy thing is, although 12 resupplies sounds like hardly any, because he was moving so fast, he would have only had about 5 days of food on him at most. That's what trips me out :-)

Bet there were some monster eating sessions at the resupply points, totally deserved :-)

Great stuff!
