THis is the first pyramid i had made, and using spinnaker .75oz to test the shape and it size, weight around 400g without poles, when the final version will use CT1k.18/NM.32 0.83oz, weight may be similar, But it can keep the sun away !
size 270x160cm
Dual doors
Surprise that it does waterproof
Aug 28, 2011 at 3:36 pm #1773731Love the double door design! Very cool!
Aug 28, 2011 at 4:32 pm #1773745Is there a top vent?
Aug 28, 2011 at 5:47 pm #1773764That looks very well made, I dig the double doors. It will be cool to see your final version in cuben. Nicely done.
Aug 28, 2011 at 6:51 pm #1773777Beautiful shelter!
Aug 28, 2011 at 7:59 pm #1773788Looks wondeful!
Aug 30, 2011 at 2:15 am #1774213This one didn't add the vent yet. but final one will definitely adding 1-2 vents at the peak there.
Aug 30, 2011 at 3:42 am #1774217Love the double door design! :P The white color is so cool.
Aug 30, 2011 at 8:51 am #1774273I don't think adding vents will really do much in terms of reducing condensation.
Smoking pyramid, very nice!
Aug 30, 2011 at 8:58 am #1774277Winner! I really like it. The double doors are rockin. Great Job!
Aug 30, 2011 at 3:02 pm #1774437Size
270x270x160 or 270x160x ?
FrancoAug 30, 2011 at 3:31 pm #1774453Are you planning to use a double door net tent inside?
It looks really nice. Nothing like the simplicity of a Pyramid.Aug 31, 2011 at 7:53 am #1774640@James,
if by adding vent at the peak there and set the pyramid little bit above the ground it will close to a Tarp function not 100% like a tarp, but i believe it help somehow of the condensation@ Franco,
Size is 270x160x130@ Brian
Nesting still thinking how to make it as light as possible. if by adding a nesting tent inside, of coz it should have a double door to fit the pyramid dual door design.Sep 2, 2011 at 10:45 pm #1775616Size is 270x160x130
That is what I suspected by looking at your pics and the angle of the walls.
I would strongly suggest that before you make a Cuben version you spend some time inside the prototype on top of the mat you intend to use and inside the sleeping bag too.
Hint : at 5'8" I my shoulders would touch the walls even without a mat under me.
(if you have a shorter torso than legs you will fit better)
