Candoil lanterns

I have two Candoil lanterns. The first is the original W/ 3 legs and a hanger chain. The second is an insert for my aluminum candle lantern. Great for winter camping's long nights and it will warm either a tent or snow cave/quinzhee.

You just have to be careful to keep the flame low enough so it doesn'e smoke and create black soot. I ues scented lamp oils. One filling in the larger original lasts 8 hours.

Anybody else have one of these well made lanterns?

I have the northern lights ultralight collapsible oil candle it sounds like your first one I also have the stove adapter to heat small quantities of liquid I have not used it for years. Its one of those neat but heavy items I no longer have use for
