I'm not very flexible and sqatting is difficult for me. A squat strap helps.
This strap (hard to see in photo) is a 6' piece of 1/2" nylon webbing with a 5/8" quick release buckle. I already carry it for other uses so it is multiple use.
It goes around me and the tree and allows me to squat without holding the tree.
Humming the song, Wichita Lineman, adds to the experience.
Aug 19, 2011 at 9:32 am #1771095The picture you provided kinda made me chuckle but it's actually a pretty simple idea and something I'll have to consider. Must make it a lot easier to do your business when it's raining.

Aug 20, 2011 at 9:14 pm #1771525I just have to say i love it. did you size it for yourself or is it adjustable?
Aug 20, 2011 at 9:42 pm #1771529If you turn around and put the straps under your legs you can lean back on the tree. From an experienced lineman who's climbed down a pole many of times and hooked up to a tree in the woods. BUT Be careful! Cuz if who have friends like mine…..they will realized you're hooked to a tree and can't go anywhere quick…..so try to sneek out of camp if you employ this method! :O)

It is adjustable via the adjustable, quick realease buckle.

I'll give that a try next time I'm "experimenting" in the woods.
