Hello all –

Does anyone know how realistic it is to get a permit this late int he game for a mid-October Grand Canyon rim-to-rim hike?

I did that hike last month and no permits are required, unless you plan on spending the night. I did it no problem in July, in about 8 hrs. I'm planning on doing the
Rim2Rim2Rim on October 8th.

I am hoping to get a permit too. Any luck? Do you know how plentiful they are on a walk up basis?
