I get a significant discount on Leki products (sorry, can't disclose, but it makes it worth it to look only at this brand). Which one of their poles would you recommend for general trekking use?

I got the Aergon Corklites Speedlock and love em.
If I had to do again I'd get the Venom Vario. -Screw it, ya know…
But really any with a Speedlock and you'll be happy. It rocks: no slip, and easy to use even w/ gloves.
The Aergon grip is very comfy with both grips, and the leash adjustment works very, very well too.
Should I go for their cork or the Thermagrip?
6 of one, 1/2 dozen of the other IMO.
I just got cork cause I think its cool that its metal and wood. IDK cork is interesting to me for whatever reason..
Anyway, I really cant see any real pro or con to either.
My friend has Thermos and they work just the same, just plastic…
Maybe somebody 'round here knows if there is a difference.
I'm happy enough with my cork handles after ten years that I have no reason to desire any other type of handle on my Leki's.
I have the carbonlites without the anti-shock. They've proven nearly indestructible so far (~3000 miles of use including several spills). They're not as light as some of the other carbon fiber poles out there, but they come with a 1-year guarantee even if the poles break. I don't think you get that from gossamer gear or anyone else for CF poles.
The only disadvantage of the CF lekis is that it takes a lot of work to remove the tips–repeated soaking in warm water + many, many whacks with pliers.
They list at $180, so a discount would help.
