On a recent trip in the Citico Creek Wilderness just south of the Smokies in Tennessee a friend and I saw what seemed to be dozens of different mushrooms and fungi out. I haven't got a fungi field guide (yet) so I don't know their names but sometimes all the little things that you see along the trail are just as interesting as the great big views. Enjoy.

I found several Morels this springAug 16, 2011 at 6:49 pm #1770149Some of those look to be edible…But i have never picked mushroom in North America and would not risk it. In Europe though i would be picking them on the way and cooking up some tasty dishes…
