I've had my runamocs for about a year and a half… they just got holes in the front where the lether meets the sole (this is probably from kicking things when I walk the rest of the leather looks fine still). I think I can repair it with some pasti dip, or shoe goo…. just make a toe gaurd of sorts with some siliconish material.
the 2mm sole has worn and it's a bit slick for anything with a slope now (though I just did freel peak on sat and it was fine).
I have a new pair with the trail soles now and hopefully they'll last a little longer, but before I got the newer pair, all I had for shoes were a pair of ramblers and runamocs. those 2 shoes were worn for every occasion, ramblers for work and cool weather casual, runamocs for hiking, all my nonbarefoot running, sometimes for work, travel. Sometimes in the summer I wore flip flops, but not much. So as my only too shoes, I'd say they lasted a decent amount of time, longer than normal shoes I've had. I dont' think work shoes, or casual shoes (they have never been the same before) have lasted longer than a year before…. they lasted a lot longer than my former running shoes, that's fo sho.
