I just bought a Rab top bag from the thread over in gear deals. The bag doesn't have a sleeve for a pad and I want to sew a few straps of a thin material like really thin nylon or cuben to the bottom to hold the pad in place. Does anyone have any extra scrap material they can sell to me (I need to make about 3 strips about 5×24"). Or alternatively does anyone know where the DYI folks buy it?

+1 on this idea. The golite quilts come with this arrangement and I find it works very well..

Aug 5, 2011 at 5:25 pm #1766551Plain ripstop nylon can be had at Hancock Fabric or Jo-Ann's fabric. Both usually have a 40-50% coupon active.

Aug 10, 2011 at 5:27 pm #1767984Never mind I was looking under materials not accessories. Is this it?
