Hi,
I got this idea from a ULA Ohm that I owned. Note that the hip belts on my Mariposa + are not original. Still, the picture should give some good ideas on how to improve the hip belt pockets. I used the safety pin as a trial run. If my experiment works out, I'm going to cut off the elastic from pouch and sew the leading edge to the webbing.

Jul 28, 2011 at 4:02 pm #1764161I agree it would make them much more useful. I find that packs with a sewn own hipbelt and sewn own pockets generally work better than removable belts and pockets.
