Just curious what the best glue is there out there which will stick stuff to silnylon, and to nylon found in sleeping pads, etc.

This seems to be the product most frequently and highly recommended.
It may have worked for other people, but both with and without thinner, I have never had silnet work as an effective glue. It is very good for water-proofing seams and can be mixed with paint thinner to apply more easily but on both my tent and packs it has worn off over time. When i was sealing my pack I stuck two pieces together by accident and they pretty easily pulled apart.
You must the tube that says premium silicone Glue – not caulking – not sealer.
It is product # 280. upc 0-7702700280-5
the tube has changed color since this article. it is now white with green and brown stipes.
Enjoy

Unfortunately, I can't access the article since my membership has expired. Is this the same stuff sold at Lowe's and Home Depot?
Do you think it would be safe to use as glue to adhere velcro strips to my down pillow? (WM Cloudrest) Or will it soak through the fabric?

Author of the article here …
Answer to your question is …. "Yes and No"
I tend to buy it at a hardware store closer to my home but Yes, Home Depot does carry the right stuff. Lowes probably does too but the nearest store is in the next county so I can't say I know.
The "No" in my answer is that GE also makes silicone caulk and also silicone tub sealer. I've never tried them … don't plan to.

Is this the stuff?
Edit: Wait…I think my BA Aircore is not silnylon, maybe just a regular nylon? What would be appropriate for this?
