    Locale: South-eastern US

Benefits – A dog leash strong enough to handle any situation, as well as 50 feet of rope to use in emergency situations.

I used a 50 foot length of para-cord tied in a typical survival bracelet fashion with a large loop at one end for a handle ad a light weight wire gate climbing carabiner on the other. I can easily remove all but 4 feet of the cord and still have a functional leash as well….

A wiregate in this situation may not be the proper application since it is likely to be back clipped and disconnect. A traditional leash clip would better serve you as a connector for a dog leash. Lockers would be cumbersome to use and possibly dangerous
