I posted my current gear list at http://geekguyandy.com/gearlist.htm
If you have any suggestions on how to make this smaller/lighter, I would love to hear it. My pack holds 40 liters (~2400ci) and holds 30 pounds great. I do have a GoLite Dawn, but that cannot support the weight currently. The Lowe Alpine is extremely comfortable, but I have been thinking of a Granite Gear Vapor Trail or ULA Conduit. I prefer small things which are also light, but more emphasis on the small gear in order to only need one pack in country (this is why I will carry a short thermarest rather than a closed cell foam pad). All items on this posted list were weighed on my scale, except those highlighted which are either manufacturers average weight or rough guesses I made. The diabetic gear is pretty set in stone at this point and is 2.6#. The tent is also compressed to very small (fits in Granite Gear small compression bag without poles) and will be light enough since it’s for 2. Thanks!
