Hi,

Newbie, hope I've posted in correct spot. :)

I import Sunice Gore-tex golf apparel from USA to Australia and I use ReviveX to replenish the DWR finish, great product.

I'm about to order ReviveX from USA as it's too expensive in Australia and just wondering if anyone has tried the following.

ReviveX Wash-In treats upto 7 garments per 355ml bottle, ReviveX Spray-On 295ml treats upto 4 garments.

Both treatments are heat set and from information, provide exactly the same level of DWR protection.

Do you think you could dilute the ReviveX Wash-In concentrate at the rate of 175ml with 120ml filtered water which makes 295ml of spray, then use this mixture to spray-On Gore-tex apparel and heat set in clothes dryer as usual.

I would always think you'd get a better and more thorough DWR finish by using a spray rather than adding Wash-in to a larger quantity of water, thereby diluting the ReviveX further so you could immerse garments to treat.

Kind Regards, Ken

I don't use this brand but I do prefer a spray on product for several reasons. I apply mine in a bathtub and spray until runoff, using a basin to catch the runoff, which you can use in a sprayer again. If you apply to a jacket hung upside down you concentrate more DWR on your hood ,shoulders, and upper sleeves all of wich are going to get more water. The exception is places where your pack abrades the jacket with its straps. You can selectively spray these as well. A fan helps with initially drying the fabric before setting the finish in a clothes drier -avoid any with a fabric softener, or press with a low iron-no starch exposure ever.
