i was wearing a pair of wool dress pants this weekend. the fabric is a loosely-knit wool and lets wind pass right through. however, they are very warm indoors (too warm, no wind, no convective heat loss).
i occurred to me that these would make nice winter pants if you’re one of those hikers that hike warm. they’re light and airy when hiking. when you camp, you could stick on a pair of wind pants and the fabric would trap heat like there’s no tomorrow.
I wonder if someone makes a casual wool suit with zip off legs and cargo pockets :). A fashion statement for the boardroom. I joke, but I’ve considered do this and would love to hear from someone who has. Thanks Channing, for bringing this up.
