Which (non Gortex) Inov8 is best for (narrow-footed) backpacking?

I've read that some models of Inov8 are especially well-suited to narrow feet, while others are better for normal/wide feet. Can anyone tell me which non-Gortex Inov8s are best for narrow feet? Since I'm transitioning from heavy boots, I'd prefer something with more support/cushioning rather than something ultra-minimalist.

For reference, I tried on a pair of Sportiva Wildcats at REI, which were OK in the heel and mid-foot, although the toe box was a bit too wide.

Thanks very much

OK,

I had a look on inov-8's website, and it appears that these are the performance fit shoes:

x-talon 190
x-talon 212
mudclaw 272
oroc 280
roclite 285
mudroc 290
mudclaw 333
oroc 340

I did a little digging here on BPL, and it seems that a number of these shoes are well-suited to very specific hiking conditions and that many are truly minimalist (slipper like). For me, I'm interested in summer Sierra type scenarios. I'm looking for something that would constitute a relatively easy transition from boots. As such, I presume that the heavier shoes would make more sense. Perhaps the oroc 340s. Not much info on those shoes on BPL though.

Any thoughts?

thanks again!

I have tried the Inov-8 315, 370, 390, 212 and 200. I have somewhat narrow feet and have found the X-talon 212 and Barefoot 200 to fit very well. I came from 25 year old "light" leather hiking boots then to the 315's which where wider than I like. I trip on trail stuff much less with the lighter shoes even though or maybe because I can now feel the trail. My feet needed to get a bit tougher though, after 30 miles on the AT with many rocks they ached a bit. I will be using the 200's in Yosemite next month for 50-60 miles of hiking. I love the fit, grip and weight.

I've used 315s, 212s, and I'm now using 285s. I have pretty narrow feet. The 315s were way too much shoe for me, but if you're transitioning from boots you might like them. You might look at the 310s as well. I mostly love the 212s. The fit is amazing, I just wish they'd dry and drain faster. I'm loving my 285s. My only complaint (which I don't even notice any more) is I wish the toe wasn't so pointy.
