3Dmesh for shoulder straps on a G4 style pack?

Has anyone used the 3D mesh from Thru-hiker to face the business side of shoulder straps on a G4 style MYOG pack?

If you have, did you add any extra padding into the straps or just go with it "as-is"?

Also, did you just flat sew the mesh or do the "sew it inside out and then turn it rightside out" routine?
