Hey guys,

Good friend of mine loves his old solitare, but it needs new poles, I'm going to replace them for him with some lighter ones.

Can anybody that still has one tell me the length of the two poles assembled? I know they're two separate lengths.

Thanks!

Your lucky day!
No work today and I am waiting for the phone to ring(for work) so i am basically bored to tears.
I just so happen to have the poles from my old Eureka Solitaire even though i don't have the tent anymore!
Anyhow the pole measurements are as follows:
Front Pole= 78 inches
Rear pole= 62 3/4 inches exactly

I have to add that the Eureka Solitaire uses a sort of pin that slips into the pole on one side.
So if you are getting new poles the inner diameter of the hole needs to be 1/4 inch or more. In other words; the tent pole tubing must be larger than 1/4 inch or the pin on the tent wont fit inside.
the other side of the poles should have a rubber bumper but you could get those from the auto supply store.. they sell them as vaccum line caps.
Anyhow, Cheers.

Hey! You can have my old Solitaire poles for free! They are the stock poles, fibergalss i think, but they are dang near brand new. Send me an adress and i will ship 'em out to you.

Hey Matt,

Big thanks! Very much appreciated, especially since the information is no-where to be found online.

I remember the pin thing, I"m pretty sure .340 easton poles will work fine, I know that eureka sold a version of the solitaire with aluminum poles at one point.

No need to send me your poles, but I really appreciate the offer! I've gotten lighten my buddy up some more though, his base weight is pretty respectable, but he absolutely loves his solitaire, and those old poles are massively weighty.

They aren't doing me any good and i would have thrown them out a long time ago but i am a packrat.
Anyhow let me know where to send them.
If you really feel the need to pay something just re-imburse me for shipping after you recieve them.
Either way is okay with me. I am just glad they can be of use to someone.
