I have a pair of leather Palladium boots. Their standard boot is canvas, but they just released a light weight version for summer.
The 8" Palladium Baggy Lite boots in size 9 weigh 9.8oz each and the 6" Palladium Pampa Hi Lites weigh just 9.2oz. The standard canvas boots weigh 18oz and 14.6oz respectively.
I'm going to order a pair for myself. I've tried hiking in standard running shoes and I definitely prefer the boots. So, a light weight boot like this seems like an awesome choice.
